Natural handmade Aromatherapy Lava Stone Mala

Beautifully handcrafted in Bali uniquely for Halka B. Organics. This Mala consists of 108 volcanic lava beads and is knotted between each bead. As Lava holds the scent of essential oils beautifully, it is a great way to keep the vibration of your favourite oils with you all day long or for your sacred practice.  

The Guru Lava Bead is embedded into brass. 

The 6mm diameter beads mala is approx 51.5 cm long on your neck. The 8mm diameter beads mala is approx. 65.5cm long.

Malas are also known as Japa Mala and have been utilised in various religious practices as in Buddhism and Hinduism for example as an aid in prayer and reciting of sacred texts. In Christianity they have been known as Rosary Beads. The beads keep track of how many times a person is reciting out loud or in their minds a prayer, a mantra or an affirmation. Today, it is mostly utilised as a help for mindfulness, meditation and in affirmation practices or as a sacred piece of jewellery for aroma therapy.

The number of 108 has great significance in many cultures around the world. The great mathematicians of the Vedic culture viewed 108 as the number of the "WHOLENESS OF EXISTENCE".  Astronomists wrote about 27 constellations in our galaxy and each has 4 directions and when we calculate that up we get to again to the sacred number of 108 (4x27) This would mean that the number 108 covers the whole galaxy!
