Medieval Thieves' + Blend
Essential oils in this blend have been traditionally utilised to help fight bacterial and viral infections and elevate the mood.
A blend that is based on the medieval anecdotal story of four thieves who in the year of 1413 were stealing from the sick when the Bubonic Plague also known as The Black Death devastated a large part of France. Upon their arrest they shared their secret recipe as why they did not get infected themselves whilst doing so in order to not be burned to death. Well, after they revealed their secrets, the story goes that they were hung instead. In the last few decades companies have created blends that resembled the old recipes of the four thieves.
As this blend was generally used during the seasons where bacteria and viruses go rampant, it soon became the blend to go to during the flue season to fight infections and times of low energy.
Many of our clients were asking us to blend something along those line so we made our research but added touches of Frankincense, Australian Tea Tree, Ravensara, Star Aniseed & Sage.
Research into these oils is very limited and most of the information is based on anecdotal claims. However, some research papers have suggested the viability of the single oils for various benefits. Be it to fight microbes, boosting the immune system and elevate the mood.
