WILD WHITE JUNGLE COPAL BLANCO Highlands of Mexico

Wild Jungle Copal Blanco (White) is one of the most revered sacred ceremonial resins of Mexico and Central America. Harvested from trees of the Bursera family growing in the highlands of Mexico, this luminous resin has been burned as sacred incense for centuries by cultures such as the Maya civilization and Aztec civilization.

Wild White Jungle Copal is usually gathered from naturally hardened resin of trees.

Instead of being collected immediately after the resin flows from the tree, the resin may harden on bark, branches, or forest debris, where it slowly ages before being gathered.

Because of this, jungle copal often appears irregular, darker, and more textured, sometimes containing pieces of bark or leaf material.

This is the most highly priced of the copals and is VERY STICKY because of its freshness. When placed on charcoal, it releases a bright, uplifting fragrance with notes of citrus, pine, and warm balsamic sweetness.

In traditional ceremonies, copal smoke is believed to purify spaces, carry prayers, and open a sacred atmosphere for meditation and ritual. Its rising white smoke has long symbolised the connection between the earthly and the spiritual realms.
